Become a Surf Lifesaver
To become a volunteer surf lifesaver with Dee Why SLSC you simply need to complete the Bronze Medallion course which is open to anyone who is 15 years or older.
However, if you’re not quite ready for your Bronze course, you can also join us on the beach as a First Aid award member or Radio Operator – there are plenty of opportunities available!
Our next Bronze Medallion course starts in October 2024. Check out the course calendar here or contact us using the form below for more information!
Once you’ve finished training you will be wearing the red and yellow as a surf lifesaver!
To learn more about patrolling requirements please visit our Lifesaving at Dee Why page.
Other Opportunities
Surf Life Saving isn’t just about the lifesavers – in fact, you don’t event have to get your toes wet! We also have administrators, coaches, officials, athletes, supporters and children aged between 6 and 14 years for our Nippers programs.
As long as you’ve got a positive attitude, you’re perfect for Surf Life Saving!
