The club has now re-opened for COVID-normal activities.

There will be no access to the club except for Executive members and emergency call out members for official duties.
This will be effective immediately until we receive further updates.

Return to patrolling – Covid FAQs
I think we are all keen to get back to the beach and provide the service of patrolling that we all love so much!
Please remember do not come to the beach if you:
- Have any symptoms, (fever, coughing, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath or loss of taste or smell
- Have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
- Have tested positive for COVID-19 — wait until you have been given medical clearance to attend
- Have travelled Overseas, to Victoria or to a designated ‘hotspot’ in the 14 days prior to patrol
Our Branch has provided us with some very helpful answers to frequently asked questions and you can find that document here https://tinyurl.com/y2kp8xd4

As we get back to business…
As we prepare to return to the beach for patrols and Nippers it is vitally important that every member take note of the following guidelines from the Australian Department of Health:
Do not attend any SLS activities if you:
a. have any symptoms (i.e. fever, coughing, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath or loss of taste or smell)
b. have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
c. have tested positive for COVID-19 – wait until you have been given medical clearance to attend again
d. have travelled overseas, to Victoria, or to a designated hotspot in the 14 days prior to any of your training dates.
If you are diagnosed with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within 14 days after attending any SLS activity, you must contact SLSNSW immediately on 02 9471 8000. The Australian Department of Health recommends using the Healthdirect Coronavirus (COVID-19) Symptom Checker to answer questions about symptoms to see if you or someone needs to seek medical help or get tested.

- IRB training for sport may now resume
- Anyone who has recently returned from Victoria, or been in contact with anyone who has recently returned from Victoria, must self-isolate for 14 days and is not permitted to enter the club.
Club re-opening Saturday 27th June
We are pleased to announce that some club facilities will re-open from Saturday 27th June.
The change rooms and gym will be open from 8am every day. The restricted times are to allow for the additional cleaning requirements as per NSW Health guidelines.
The board & ski shed will only be available to approved training groups and their coaches. These individuals will be notified of their obligations and responsibilities in a separate notification.
Where possible all personal craft should remain to be stored at home and no personal belongings or equipment are to be stored in the change rooms.
The current restrictions allow for:
- No more than 20 participants in an outdoor training group, for nippers this will consist of 1 coach, 3 water safety and up to 15 nippers.
- No more than 10 people in the gym.
- No more than 6 people in the men’s change room.
- No more than 5 people in the ladies’ change room.
Updates will be sent to all members as these numbers change.
Every person entering the club is required to complete the Attendance Register located on the stand at each entrance. It is imperative that this register be completed EVERY time you enter the club, and entry and exit times MUST be noted.
Please familiarise yourself with the Covid-19 Safety Plan as required by Government regulations and approved by the Executive Committee of DYSLSC and SNB Branch SLS. The Covid-19 Safety Officer from Branch has inspected the club to ensure that we are compliant with all safety measures required to protect the health and wellbeing of our club members.
You will see posters displayed in certain areas of the club. Please be aware that these posters constitute Conditions of Entry and any breach of these conditions may result in harsh penalties including suspension or cancellation of membership and closure of club facilities.
As we do not have someone to monitor all club activities 24/7, and we do not wish to impose upon member’s use of the club facilities, it is up to all club members to ‘do the right thing’ to protect yourself and your fellow club members.
As these conditions change members will be updated via email and Team App and all information will be available on the club website.
We look forward to seeing you back at the club!
