Thanks to all our members, friends and family who attended the Annual Awards night ‘Back to the Beach Party’ on Saturday 1st June 2019. It was fantastic to see so many people celebrating this season’s achievements.
Hopefully you’ve all recovered from those moves on the dance floor with no lasting injuries! The band “Mike Champion and The Cools” played a wonderful set to get us dancing.
A massive thanks to Matt and Justine for their tireless work coordinating the event and to Janine for leading the catering crew to ensure everyone was well fed. Thanks so much to Hugh, Kerryn, Sue, Row, Georgia, Amirah and Neva for preparing the food and keeping it coming and to Sarah for the beautiful cake and cupcakes. We’d also like to thank Molly’s Cradle Wines for their support and North Curl Curl SLSC for organising the beer and equipment. Refreshments were served by our fabulous last-minute bar staff, Victoria, Tom and Kyle.
Our Cadets did a wonderful job as waitstaff and we appreciate their work during the night – Georgia, Amirah, Liam, Gor, Charles, Jack, Shoaland, Lily, Talia, Suzi, Ben, Sam, Taylah, Max and Massimo. Thanks to Cam Read for coordinating this team and helping with set-up during the day.
Another thank you to Matt for MC’ing the night. He also arranged the prizes including towels, whistles, jumpers and trophies AND made a steel IRB model as a trophy topper!
Finally – CONGRATULATIONS to all our members and award winners for a wonderful season. We look forward to seeing you back on the beach in 2019/20!
