Membership – Our Members are the heartbeat of Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club
Memberships can be renewed between 1 July and 30 October each year.
New members can join throughout the season, between 1 September – 31 March
From tiny Nippers starting out, to long- serving Patrollers, Coaches, Committee members, Life members and Volunteers who return year after year to give back, stay active and stay connected – every member plays a part in shaping our club’s strong, community spirit.
We also warmly welcome new members from across the community – whether you’re new to the area, new to surf life saving, or transferring from another club, there’s a place for you here at Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club.

Information in this section is for those who would like to would like to become Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) Member
and join Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club.
New members are welcome to join between September and March.

To complete registration, login to your SLS Hub, select Dee Why as the Club you would like to join, enter the required details, confirm your acceptance of the membership declarations, select your membership type and fee, enter your payment details, review and submit.
Your registration will remain as Pending until it is processed by the club.
Click the SLS Hub Sign Up button to create your SLS Hub Account and follow the prompts to complete your registration.
Already a Dee Why SLSC member?
Registrations are open now and Membership renewals are due by the 30 October each year
Annual renewal of your Dee Why Beach SLSC membership is via your SLS Hub.
To complete registration, login to your SLS Hub, click Renew, select the new season, confirm your acceptance of the membership declarations, select your membership type and fee, enter your payment details, review and submit.
Your registration will remain as Pending until it is processed by the club. We may contact you to confirm any details.

If you are transferring your membership to Dee Why SLSC, please login to your existing SLS Hub.
Go to the Memberships panel, click on the view more link, and click the Join/Transfer to a New Organisation button to request a transfer.
Once your transfer to Dee Why SLSC has been processed you will be able to register your membership.
Click the Transfer to Dee Why SLSC button to login to your exiting SLS Hub Account and request your transfer.

Patrolling member who will be aged 19 years or over as at 30th September.
SLS Members Are Category = Active (18 yrs and over)
Fee = $50
Patrolling member who will be aged 14 – 18 years or over as at 30th September.
SLS Members Are Category = Active (15 – 18 years)
Fee = $50
Active (patrolling) member that has completed at least 8 years of patrols and/or other club obligations.
SLS Members Are Category = Reserve Active
Fee = $50
May be granted to members who have completed 10 years Patrolling service and after application to management committee (minimum patrol hours aligning with competition hours). May or may not patrol.
SLS Members Are Category = Long Service
Fee = $70
Available to a person who is non-patrolling and not a ‘Nipper Parent’
SLS Members Are Category = Associate
Fee = $110
May be applied for by members that have been an Associate Member for the previous 3 seasons and are actively involved in club volunteer activities.
SLS Members Are Category = Active Associate
Fee = $60
Applies to people that hold an aged, disability or carer pension card. Proof must be provided to the Treasurer. Renew in the applicable category, e.g. Long Service, but pay pensioner fee.
SLS Members Are Category = Pensioner
Fee = $40
Members who have been awarded Life Membership at the Clubs Annual General Meeting.

Nipper members in the U6 and U7 age groups. Calculated based on age as at 30th September.
For example, if your child is 5 on 30th September, the child will be in the Under 6’s.
SLS Members Are Category = Junior Activity Member (5 – 13 Years)
Fee = $75
Nipper member U8 to U13. Calculated based on age as at 30th September. For example, if your child is 11 on 30th September, the child will be in the Under 12’s.
SLS Members Are Category = Junior Activity Member (5 – 13 Years)
Fee = $50
Patrolling members in the U14 age group. Calculated based on age as at 30th September. For example, if your child is 13 on 30th September, the child will be in the Under 14’s.
SLS Members Are Category = Cadet Member (13 – 15 years)
Fee = $50
Non-Patrolling members in the U14 age group. Calculated based on age as at 30th September. For example, if your child is 13 on 30th September, the child will be in the Under 14’s.

Nipper parents should select the ‘Nipper Parent’ category within Lifesaving Online

Category is exclusive to Members of Orange Bush Nippers only.
