Proudly serving the Northern Beaches community since 1912,
Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club has over a century of history
keeping our coastline safe.
Today, our clubhouse is not only home to our dedicated
volunteer lifesavers, it’s also a beautiful beachfront venue
offering three light-filled function spaces overlooking Dee
Why Beach.

Swan Lounge

Best for: Birthdays, engagement parties, celebrations of life,
community events, presentations and weddings.
The Swan Lounge features sweeping floor-to-ceiling views of Dee Why
Beach, offering a bright and inviting space for any occasion. With
flexible layout options, a private balcony and natural light
throughout, this is our most popular room for social gatherings and
relaxed coastal celebrations.

Functions & events spaces - FAQs
Can I bring my own catering?
- Yes, external catering is allowed. Caters are responsible for setup, service and pack-down
Do you allow smoking on the premises?
- No. No smoking or vaping is permitted within the premises, due to Council regulations.
What time can i book the room until?
Monday to Saturday the rooms are available 11.30pm, Sunday until 10pm. The bar must close 15 minutes before the conclusion of your event.
What furniture is included?
Limited tables and chairs are included with your room hire. Our Event Manager can assist with layout options and suggested floor plans. External furniture hire is permitted.
Can we have live music or a DJ?
Yes, provided they comply with the noise limits and all equipment is safely installed. Please discuss your entertainment plans in advance.
Do you allow 18th or 21st Birthday parties?
No. The venue does not allow these functions on the premises.
Is there parking available?
There is public parking along the beachfront and the carpark at the rear of the Club. Availability may vary during peak times.
Do you allow decorations?
Yes. You are welcome to decorate the space; however, no pins, nails, tape or anything that may damage surfaces is permitted. Please ensure all decorations are removed at the end of your event. No confetti.
Do you take regular or recurring bookings?
Yes. Community groups and clubs can request regular weekly or monthly bookings, subject to availability.

Do Dee Why Surf Life Saving members get a discount on room hire?
Yes. Current members receive a discount of 50% on the room hire. Discount does not apply to additional costs such as cleaning fees, bar staff, bond etc.
